Help Our Cities Help Artists!

There is some cool arts coverage in the Wall Street Journal lately. I have been receiving as a ploy to make me subscribe! Oddly enough its arts coverage is very good, less overwhelming than the New York Times which makes me feel sub par and lonely like I live in Philadelphia – which I do. A recent article called Artists vs. Blight discusses artists successful attempts in Cleveland, Detroit and Buffalo to revitalize those bleak and empty inner city areas. These grant seeking artists have been moving in and setting up studios, galleries and rehearsal spaces however they can; holding broken down parts of cities together so to speak. Slideshow of those art communities at WSJ.com/Lifestyle.
