NETFLIX killed the Video Star!

It was a sad day when the local TLA closed recently. They knew their time had come, as people gathered no longer to browse for DVDS. Does this mean another techie hurdle for me? I have barely recovered from the HD melee which seemed to have left us with more channels that barely hold together pixel-wise. Crappy tranfers! It is disconcerting to not have cable, I guess, yet we resist. My worry is that we will gather round the computer rather than the conventional idiot box, which was stationary at least. Something is lost forever as we blunder towards the proposed singularity in 2040 or so.
