STICK TO YOUR GUNS!

Maybe, I figured this out? Having finally landed a review for Famous Last Words, I can put my solo show to rest and get back to work. Why was the review so important? Simple. A review lives on in print, online, or on your resume. A "quality" review gives the impression that there is someone out there (in the press) who can appreciate what you do. It adds the fodder to future press releases! It adds legitimacy and suggests to those who don't have a clue, that you actually know what you are doing and that your art practice is not merely a pointless ego-trip. Of course, they aren't paying attention so it is hubris in the end. Ego or not, this episode does, it fact, re-assure me that my wee critical eye is needed.
